Me and my boyfriend have been sexually active for a while and I have had my tounge pierced for the majoridy of it and I was wondering this before and finally got online to ask, but can using my toungering on the head of his penis cause little red bumps? they are painless and feelingless not itchy or anything. but just little red bumps. do you know what could be causing this? its not an STD he hasnt been cheating or anything.

As strange as it sounds, some people are allergic to different types of metals. These allergies only relate to one, or a few types of metal exposure to the skin, and can be life long, a random one time occurrence lasting for a short period of time, a repeating occurrence at different times of the year, or could occur at different stages in one’s life because of hormone and chemical changes in the body. It could also be stress related, and just because one area of the body reacts, doesn’t mean that others will too.
For example, when my friend’s little brother was a toddler, he was allergic to the metal clip buttons on his pants and would break out into a serious rash from it. (You know how there’s that cold little disk on the back that touches your skin on the inside of your pants?) For the longest time, he couldn’t wear pants with that kind of button unless his mom painted the exposed side with a thin coat of fingernail polish. He grew out of that of course…
Another example is me; I’m allergic to gold. My allergy travels though. One week it’ll be on one finger, the next on another. (There’s just one gold ring that I wear cuz it’s a promise ring…) It’s really annoying. The skin sometimes gets itchy, or I’ll just get the little red bumps like you’re describing. As a result, I have to sick to wearing silver, stainless steal, or platinum.
I suggest getting a different ring put in. If you can’t right now, then I suggest not using it for that….
