My ex used to have warts on his hands when we first got together five years ago. This is the only way I can think of how I may have gotten genital warts. Yes you can…that is how alot of genital warts cases come about…Warts are a form of HPV…Doesnt matter if it is on the genitals, hands, feet, ect. Warts are contagious…but not to worry. If you do have genital warts they will get rid of them…but you will have to practice safe sex because you can still spread the virus…ask your doc for more info
