I went to the ER today and the doctor said i had genital warts but didnt prescribe me any medication. I know there are medication that can be applied at home, but how do i go about getting it with no insurance or money? Are there free clinics that could help me? Any suggestions?

There is no medicines you can take. They need to be frozen off. Like a wart that was on any other part of your body. Planned parenthood maybe. You need to get treatment right away because I heard they get nasty and hurt.
i would get a job to pay for some.. im pretty sure they can do like operations every once in a while too or something but that would be expensive
My teacher said that warts need oxygen to live. so she said to get rid of a wort ( or more that one) you veed to cover it with a 2"x 2" (inch) peace of duct tape every day and night till it goes away. it wiil probly take a while. the tape starves it from oxygen and it dies.
I work for a urologist and we see this all the time. The medication for genital warts is very expensive and it can cause them to be quite painful during treatment, because it is a cream that you put directly on them. The other options are to have a "freeze" done, which is kinda like the stuff you buy over the counter for warts on your fingers, but it is done in a dr’s office, we charge $600 for it. Or you could have them removed with a laser which is done in the hospital, so without insurance it would be quite expensive also. Most of the free clinics don’t carry that type of medication because it is so expensive. Even if the ones you currently have are removed there is always a chance of recurrence. The medication that can be prescribed is called Aldara.

I dont know where you live but where i live there is cream which you apply to the warts which isnt that expensive here because its government subsidised.Its used to be expensive tho, around 180 dollars. Im sorry i cannot remember the name of the cream, but you apply it everynight before bed and then wash it off in the morning. I used it for a little while but then totally forgot some nights so i gave up. My warts went away on there own after around 6 months.

hey anderson, there are alot of treatments that work and dont work so be carefull. A good product is wartrol. It gets rid of the visible warts and thats all that can be done because the virus is get so far into you cells.
