i went to the doctor about a month ago and he told me i have hpv… im scared and ive been cry for the last month… now i think i have genital warts because i seen about 4 bumps on my viagina and 1 on my anal i shaved but i doubt this is due to shaving im so stress out what should i do? is this genital warts? im afriad of going to the doctor my parents would kill me if they found out…

i understand completely, i happen to have one teeny genital wart and chlamyida and i was pretty devistated when i found out. Luckily enough there is a safe place for teens to get treatment, its Planned Parenthood. Just check out their website and find the center near you. They wont ask any questions about why ur having sex or think your gross for contracting a disease. Its totally confidential and you should have no problems. Dont worry the people there are angels!
first thing is first. see your doctor again get treatment. second dont’ stress out for it can make situation worse. third check your partners yo!
It could be…. but that way you learn. The only way to find out for real is to go to the doctor. OR you can go to one of those clinics like planned parenthood and they test you for free and you don’t need parental consent. Wait… I think that may depend on where you live… but it won’t hurt to try.
HPV is the Cause of genital warts. Did your doctor not explain that to you? You really need to talk to him again b/c it does not seem like you understand about your disease.

HPV causes ALL BODILY WARTS. There are many different strains of this. Some just cause warts, some can cause cancer, some go away on their own after a while never to return again-unless of course you come into contact with HPV again. I actually have 2 warts on my right hand. Passed by skin to skin contact. You can even pick up this virus at a public pool b/c there are so many barefoot people with warts on their feet.
If you have symptoms of HPV the test is probably right. I would get retested. You can either have a vaginal exam or you can do serum HPV/ low risk / high risk profile. It will test you for 5 different strands. I would talk to your doctor and have him explain things to you. It’s growing to be one of the most common diseases out there.
However, 13 years ago I had gotten a phone call from my doctor stating that I had an abnormal PAP (HPV) and that I needed to come back for a retest. I was so scared and upset. I went back in and when the test results came back it was negative… Absolutely nothing…. Here they called me with someone else’s results!!!! Talk about messed up, I was pissed…
