Before you dive into the blog I just want to say one thing:
no matter how much you love your bf and you dont want to
embarrass him, if he has genital warts -
HE MUST TREAT IT.
Or you'll both suffer. Dont just let it be cause you'll pay dearly later on.
If you dont feel comfortable to confront him just do what I did - I got him this really amazing cure after seeing it on ABC news, and I used it to treat him without him even knowing anything about it :)
In the end of the day it doesnt really matter if you take this cure or any other
just treat it and dont ignore it.
Live healthy and enjoy my blog,
Suzi
I just realized that I have genital warts… great. I have had sex with my g/f about 150 times in the past 6 months. Last month she had a pap smear done and she came out negative for genital warts. Is it possible that I have not given it to her yet even though I have never used protection with her? I really just want her to be safe.
you guys should get the hpv vaccine.
It is possible that you didnt have a outbreak during the times you and your girlfrien had sex BUT i would still tell her and have her go get checked out….if she really loves you, you both will be able to work through this!
Do you know if she tested positive for HPV?(human papilloma virus)That is very common now days especially in women who are sexually active. HPV can cause genital warts in both women and men. Men are typically carriers of this virus and can give it to their partners without showing any signs or symptoms. Genital warts dont always show up with people that are infected, but its a good possibility that they can show up later on. Maybe you should go to the doctor and have them look at the warts to determine if they indeed warts. You can look up more information on HPV if you need more.
Pap smears don’t actually test for genital warts. They test for changes in the cervical cells, which can exist without the presence of HPV. And the presence of HPV does not necessarily mean there will be changes in these cells. There is no test at all available to the public for the presence wart-causing strains of HPV. You can request a special test for the presence of any strain of HPV, but it won’t tell you which strains you have and about 80% of people will test positive, most strains are harmless and don’t cause cancer or warts or anything
So you almost certainly have passed the virus to her by now, but she might not ever get warts or any complications at all from it. Or she might get them later. In any case the virus usually goes away completely after a few years.
I believe you have passed it on her. Sorry to say but man are usually the carier and they didnt even know it. I agree with the others answers. But all i can tell you is that if your gf had she will know. If Genital warts are visible, she can get biopsy and it will be examined in the laboratory and you will know about it if its positive or negative. There are warts that are normal and warts that are STD as well. The doctor will explain everything to you. You can read more about HPV. and go see your doctor as well
She might have them but not the systems. Take really good medicine for them. She will have them sooner or later.
HPV causes genital warts. There are many different types of HPV, only some of them can cause cervical cancer. It can take a while for a cervical HPV test to be positive and then they usually only test for those specific types that can cause cervical cancer. Probably, the best thing to do is wear a condom and she should let her dr know. The dr may put her on a more frequent schedule for exams. Cervical cancer is quite curable when found early.
Remember that not all types of HPV cause cancer. Maybe your type doesn’t.
Kudos to you for being honest and caring!!
