If I Have Had Gardasil,Can I Have Unprotected Sex With Someone Who Has Genital Warts And Not Get It?

Before you dive into the blog I just want to say one thing:
no matter how much you love your bf and you dont want to
embarrass him, if he has genital warts -
HE MUST TREAT IT.
Or you'll both suffer. Dont just let it be cause you'll pay dearly later on.
If you dont feel comfortable to confront him just do what I did - I got him this really amazing cure after seeing it on ABC news, and I used it to treat him without him even knowing anything about it :)
In the end of the day it doesnt really matter if you take this cure or any other
just treat it and dont ignore it.
Live healthy and enjoy my blog,
Suzi
Ugh, people really need to know what they are talking about before they answer!
Gardasil protects against 4 strains of HPV. Two of those strains cause 70% of cervical cancer and another 2 that cause 90% of genital warts. So you actually have more protection against warts than cancer.
So there is about a 90% chance you will not get it.
And condoms are NOT EFFECTIVE in protecting against HPV transmission. So you are at risk even if you have protected sex.
NO! All Gardasil does is protect you from some types of cervical cancer.
Nah…better just to pound the pud and have them watch.
Absolutely not. The shot only prevents a few types of cervical cancer, not STD’s. Always use protection.
Gardasil may not protect you from all types of genital warts or cervical cancer,
Absolutely not. The vaccine only protects against 4 strains of HPV, and there are several more strains out there that you are not protected from. If you are going to have sex with someone who has an STD, you should ALWAYS use condoms.
There are many strains of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) which is known to cause genital warts and in some cases may exacerbate the growth of precancerous or cancerous cells in the cervix. There are many different strains, some responsible for the warts, and some responsible for some cases of cervical cancer. I believe that some of the strains cause both, but your best bet is to use a condom. The vaccine is there to lower your likelihood of getting certain strains of HPV, not all, and absolutely NO vaccine is effective 100% of the time. Gardasil only protects against 4 strains, the kinds that are believed to be linked with some forms of cervical cancer. A person with genital warts could easily have a different type of HPV not protected by the vaccine altogether. Hope this helps!
No, It is not a contraceptive injection + there are more STD’s you can catch !!!!
Thank you Lily,lol!
If you want to read much more, try the link. Also note that if you were exposed to an HPV strain that would be covered by Gardasil, BEFORE you got the shots, it would be too late. You’d have no protection at that point.
I also want to warn anyone who’ll listen that you cannot rely on Gardasil to keep you safe from cervical cancer- you should still have regular Pap tests. Frequent ones if you’ve had a family history of cervical cancer.Paps are uncomfortable but if they detect either dysplasia (cellular changes) or cancer early on, survival rates are very high. If Cancer is detected too late, mortality rates are very high, instead.
nooooo!!!
Guardasil do not protect you from getting HPV virus and genital warts!!

No. There are over 40 strands of HPV (human papiloma virus) which can cause warts. Gardasil protects you against only 4 of these strands. They are 4 of the most common strands and strands that could cause cervical cancer so the vaccine is still worth getting but it will not guarantee immunity against genital warts.
