It would seem to me that if a person touched an infected person, they’d get it on the skin/area they touched with.

I’ve been tested for HPV and was negative but I’ve had some sketchy places on my skin come up. I have an appointment in a week but I was just wondering if there’s a usual time table in which sores show up.

I started developing what looked like skin tags on my genital region, I asked a doctor about them and she said i could remove them by tiing a string around them. So I did. 3 months later I was diagnosed with having genital warts. I had them treated and now I have no warts. Will I give all my partners HPV if I have sex now? Is the string method just as good as any other method or do I have to kill the skin around the wart to?

I got diagnosed with genital warts a year ago. They were burnt off. they were on the shaft of my penis and did not return. However, I was also given a prescription for some cream in case they did return. Now, however, I have very small bumps on the tip of my penis. There are many of them. I can’t tell if they are genital warts or not. All of the pictures that I look up on the internet of genital warts look like they are larger. There are no pictures of many, many small bumps on the tip of penises. So, I don’t know if mine are just skin pores or something else. Should I be worried? Should I put the prescription creme on them just to see what happens? Any advice is appreciated. I just want this to be over with. Any other treatment advice would be appreciated.

I have had 2 warts ~1/2 inch from the base of my penis for ~4 months now. One is ~1/8" and oblong. The other is ~.05" and is roughly circular. I have read on the internet that there are ~10 treatments for genital warts from freezing, to injections which I hear are extremely painful, to very potent chemicals that are applied for a brief period, to less potent chemicals that are applied for hours some with repeated applications, to even less potent lotions that are not washed off and on one site I saw an article alleging there is even a systemic oral medicine. I also read there is a chance of scarring and a chance of recurrence so I definitely want to make the right decision.

Condoms can only somewhat protect against genital warts and genital herpes since you can get it by simple genital skin to genital skin contact and don’t even necessarily need to have sexual intercourse.
So is there some kind of skin privates condom or underwear condom?

Condoms do not prevent everything! Especially not herpes, genital warts, crabs or syphilis. They can also break, and inexperienced people are likely to use them incorrectly. If you really want to prevent STDs have your partners tested before having sex with them, and then use comdoms.

I had an abnormal pap back in November. A had a biopsy and all that jazz. I was told that i had mild dysplasis and that come back in a year to have my anual pap. If i had genital warts, hpv, would the test have shown that? Is it possible that i could have genital warts if i had mild dysplasis?

I haven’t seen my doctor yet but i am almost positive i have genital warts. At my last papsmear it turned out abnormal and i found out i have HPV. Though i havent had any symptoms and have never encountered warts before, this has almost reassured my self diagnosis. About three years ago, I contacted Genital Warts. I was not told of her condition at the time. I have had all warts removed, and keep up with the ones that re-appear every now and then. Since there is really no test for a man to tell weather or not you have them cellular, I am unaware of that possibility. If I keep myself clear of a visible warts, am I still contagious? Also, I have met a wonderful woman, and she accepts my problem, and we use protection everytime. So far she has not contacted the virus. We would really like to have a baby, but to do this, we would have to have unprotected sex. What are the chances of her contacting the HPV, and also, what are the chances of the baby having HPV? Or are we never going to be able to have a child together? This virus is very confusing with so many different versions of how it can be transmitted. They are white in color. Some extremely tiny and some easily visible without getting close. When erect, they all are clearly visible. she called the Doc and she said that her HPV test came back negative.. so the Doc told her to get another test in six months!!
So every 2-3 months I get a cold sore from herpes on my lips.
If I accidentally touch it (eg. wiping food from my mouth), and then I touch my penis, could I give myself genital warts?
If you don’t understand, I only have oral herpes, is it possible for me to give myself herpes on my penis?
i have genital warts (HPV). i know this as a fact. some new warty-looking growths have appeared on my pelvis, and perhaps the shaft of my penis.
my question is this: if i get the warts removed, will that lessen my risk of developing penile/penis cancer?
i know that HPV is one of the primary risk factors in penis cancer, but i do not not to what extent the warts, when left alone, magnify that risk.
also, what other things can i do to lesson my chances of penis cancer? i.e. decreasing abrasions to my penis, eating better, exercising.
I am asking this question on here because 1) seeing a doctor is expensive (my medical insurance doesn’t cover "non-essential" visits) and 2) i want a wide range of information. a doctor may give me one answer, but i’d like as much information as i can get.
i think i have genital warts and im not sure where to go.. should i go to a doctor or dermatologist? if it is a doctor, i have female doctor and im not going to be comfortable with her so should i just go to a walk-in clinic to have a male doctor instead? thanks for your help 
In the past I gave an old beau, who had the HPV virus, oral sex. I’ve been to the doctor and had my usual check in. Everythings fine. Is there a chance I can give my current beau genital warts bu giving him oral sex, or even kissing him for that matter? This is a HUGE debate for us. Please help.

I was recently at a college party and hooked up with a girl. She performed oral sex on me, and then we had intercourse. I later found out from a friend that she had genital warts. I’ve had warts on the edge of my scrotum (where it meets my leg) for a while. I don’t think they are genital warts because I am a virgin and I understand genital warts is an STD. They consist of a cluster of greyish-purple clumps. I have tried wart remover which works for a week or two but then they come back. What are they and how do I get rid of them?
My husband recently noticed that he has small bumps on his penis. After surfing the internet we believe that its genital warts caused by HPV. He has not yet went to a doctor to confirm that it is HPV.

Aside from going to the dermatologist every 6 months to a year to have them frozen off, is there an easier method of safely removing genital warts at home?

When you think about it, humans are absolutely filthy when it comes to sex. The percentages of folks with herpes are so very high. And then you have all of the others: gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, genital warts, crabs, AIDS, Hepatitis C, etc, etc, etc. Why do humans get so many sexually transmitted diseases whereas animals get none? What is it with humans? Why does nature punish humans for having sex whereas animals can have as many sexual partners as they want and not get a disease?
Tomorrow I have an appt with my doctor. I’ve been to two other doctors what gave me a visual diagnosis saying what I have is a ingrown hair bump. The health dept that I went to said they only do visual testings for herpes and genital warts. My question is what do I say to my doctor for him to test me for what’s needed for those two stds, I want to know for certain? What test do I ask for? Thanks
If both partners have genital warts and are in the process of treatment, is it ok to have sex? Will the warts get worse is the sex continues??

Does at home treatment of genital warts exist ? I’ve heard there are some nice solutions on the internet but never came across them.
My girlfirend had HPV and genital warts from it, a couple of months ago, She went to the doctor and got medicated and it cleared up but now amost 6 months later I have genital warts. I just want to know if there are any reliable medications i can get without having to go to the doctor.
