I am 25 and have genital herpes. I live with others in my household and am worried that they may contract the disease by using the same toilet facility. Is there any other way to get it other than sexual contact? How long does the virus live on surfaces like a toilet seat or things other than genitalia? Should I be worried about my family and housemates getting it from me, even though we do not have sexual contact? If possible please state your source and if you are from a medical background. My daughter gets a patch of small blisters on the back of her leg just below her right buttock about every 3 months or so. Her leg swells in that area and gets red and tender then itches and a patch of blisters pops up. The tiny blisters burst, then scab over in about a week and slough off. She also says she gets tenderness in her r groin. Could this be herpes. I dont know what to tell her? I thought herpes only came in genital area’s. She says she doesnt have the blisters on her genital area.
Even though a person may have a virus but not an outbreak of either genital warts or herpes, you can still catch it right?

When you think about it, humans are absolutely filthy when it comes to sex. The percentages of folks with herpes are so very high. And then you have all of the others: gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, genital warts, crabs, AIDS, Hepatitis C, etc, etc, etc. Why do humans get so many sexually transmitted diseases whereas animals get none? What is it with humans? Why does nature punish humans for having sex whereas animals can have as many sexual partners as they want and not get a disease?
I went to go visit a female friend of mine, and she put a condom on me and started giving me oral sex. When I was fully erect, she took off her panties and there were red, what looked like warts, everywhere around her vagina and even on her legs. She said she got it from using Nair, but I didn’t believe her. I just told her to continue giving me oral with a condom until I had an orgasm, and that was it. Condoms can only somewhat protect against genital warts and genital herpes since you can get it by simple genital skin to genital skin contact and don’t even necessarily need to have sexual intercourse.
So is there some kind of skin privates condom or underwear condom?
I know about liquid latex, but that seems so messy and difficult.

I’ve never had intercourse with my ex-boyfriend and he never gave me oral sex, but I have given him oral a few times. The last time I did was over 5 months ago. It’s getting smaller now, but it is still red and kind of "shiny." It hasn’t gotten blistery or formed any pus. I have gotten bug bite there before, so this might be it again… I’m just concerned, and may be a little paranoid about it. My ex had told me he was tested and was clean. The only thing I have ever done was give him oral sex. I don’t have any cold sores or anything it my mouth. Can I get genital herpes or warts from giving oral sex to someone else?

I want to visit a yeast infection doctor to get yeast infection medicines, but i haven’t yet. i have been researching and noticed there are people with yeast infection on tongue, yeast infection dog ear, yeast thrush infection. i was wondering what are some natural medicine yeast infection to help cure it. i heard some yeast infection are mistaken for herpes or hiv yeast infection. yeast infection cause of what? what about a fungal infection? yeast infection what causes?

Condoms do not prevent everything! Especially not herpes, genital warts, crabs or syphilis. They can also break, and inexperienced people are likely to use them incorrectly. If you really want to prevent STDs have your partners tested before having sex with them, and then use comdoms.

Tomorrow I have an appt with my doctor. I’ve been to two other doctors what gave me a visual diagnosis saying what I have is a ingrown hair bump. The health dept that I went to said they only do visual testings for herpes and genital warts. My question is what do I say to my doctor for him to test me for what’s needed for those two stds, I want to know for certain? What test do I ask for? Thanks
