Before you dive into the blog I just want to say one thing:
no matter how much you love your bf and you dont want to
embarrass him, if he has genital warts -
HE MUST TREAT IT.
Or you'll both suffer. Dont just let it be cause you'll pay dearly later on.
If you dont feel comfortable to confront him just do what I did - I got him this really amazing cure after seeing it on ABC news, and I used it to treat him without him even knowing anything about it :)

Is it quick and simple? and after am i able to go to work? drive? do i need to rest?
and does the HPV go away with the wart?

There are these spots on a friends penis that he wants to get rid off without seeing a doctor. We think it’s HPV and looking for over the counter medication to treat it with.
My boyfriend has a wart on one of his fingers, and he’s fingered me in the past. Is it possible for me to get genital warts, cervical cancer or another type of STD from this? I’ve heard that common warts are from a different strain of HPV, not the STD kind, so I haven’t worried much, but I’m just making sure.
Doing many searches, and lots of claims for natural remedies and removal, etc. for hpv and/or the cosmetic warts. Has anyone a proven natural remedy or removal for these things? Prefer something somewhat affordable and will not leave scars. I am familiar w/ natural practices, etc. and would appreciate only result-proven methods.
i kno the hpv that causes wart is the low risk for cancer. But can she get the high risk from the same one I got?

I had a D&C procedure last October due to blighted ovum (its supposedly my 1st baby) then genital warts started to appear just a few days after it. My husband and I had no sexual contact that time so its not possible that I just got it from him. I just had a papsmear last Sept when I found out I was pregnant and no sign of HPV was seen. Is it possible that I am already a carrier of HPV for quite some time already and D&C only triggers the genital warts. My husband confessed even before we got married that he acquired STD 5-6 years ago and I had only sex with him.

Im 13 male and Never had sex before. My friends said that i could get gential warts and other types of HPV without having sex. Ill admit i have white bumps on my penis but im sure its fordcyte spots (even my dad said so) and i have a wart (i think…) on my nipple, but im PRETTY sure both are bengin and that u CANT get HPV without sex… Right?

I tested negative for HPV, but I have what appears to be genital warts. It is also causing a lot of discharge – like white mucus. I don’t have insurance so I’m not wanting to go to the doctor – do I have any other choices? Is there a discharge with warts?
The more detailed question is: Can you get genital warts if neither you nor your partner have genital warts or HPV? By touching or oral sex, not through intercourse and both people have never had another sex parter. Because it has to start somewhere, right?
at my recent prenatal apt i was diagnosed with hpv and it seems that I have already been carrying the virus for over a year already. It’s still the same partner and now Im pregnant. Since we both are carriers, is our baby going to be affected in any way.

Will you just give the other person a strand of HPV thats only causes planter warts or can you potentially be passing on genital warts and oral warts and so on…? If you have planters warts does that mean you have genital HPV? pls explain

Iv read that Guardisil is only to be used prior of getting any infection, but my doc says otherwise. Im supposed to call back when they get the vaccine, because he says its been appoved for men. Im a 16 year old boy. Please tell me this is true. I cannot live with hpv im gonna go nuts.

In 07 i was diagnosed with HPV and the only way i knew i had it was cause i had warts. but then they told me i had cervical dysplasia too. i thought u could only catch one strain of hpv? im confused, can u have the dysplasia and wart strain?

I did my own research but it said that only if you had the cancer types you can get it in your mouth.
Is this correct?

I have HPV and a while ago my fiance went down on me. Now he has a little bump on his lip. Is it possible he got a wart from me? Is it pretty common? I am totally embarrassed! How would they get rid of that?

The sores started out small and then progressed and now when I get one it disfigures my lip(swollen/large bump inside) the sore can sometimes be small but lately they have been larger. Nothing works to get rid of them: over the counter remedies, tea tree oil or other herbal fixes. What am I dealing with, are they a side effect of stress triggering an outbreak with my HPV?

Of course money is tight, Also Cant get insurance through work. Well cant afford it either at least for alongggggg time. Isnt there STD clinics that can diagnose which HPV strain it is, and prescribe me whatever cream helps it?

I was recently diagnosed with HPV. I have low grade cells that I’m told should clear up on their own. I don’t have warts but I do have the virus that causes them, My boyfriend has developed warts. I know the body usually gets rid of the virus on its own eventually but my question is, if we continue to have unprotected sex will we be "passing" the infection back and forth and in turn making it take longer for his warts to disappear or my cells to become normal again?

I was reading up on genital warts because I seem to have a bump down there… and I vaguely remember having a similar bump over a year ago.
The information I was reading is a little hard to understand. I was basically wondering if I would have HPV and genital warts could develop from it. Or do you get genital warts first and contract HPV from it?
Also I have had a few pap smears and the last two came up as abnormal, but I was not told they were HPV, so they just did a biopsy to make sure they weren’t cancerous. Wouldn’t they be able to tell right away if I had HPV from the pap? I always thought that is what it tested for.
Either way I have an appointment on Friday for a biopsy for my abnormal pap so I just wanted to get some input before the doctor appointment.

I recently found out that I have a genital wart. My dr said it was caused by the herpes virus, but all the info on the internet just says its caused by hpv. I am still waiting on blood results, but my dr. said its more likely to be from herpes…………..Im so confused!

I have HPV, and have genital warts because of the HPV. I went to my doctor the other day and he told me that they cannot be removed chemically till after birth unless they get in the way. He also said that they will prob grow more and bigger because they feed off of estrogen and progesterone. It really scares me the thought of having huge warts on my vag. Has anyone had experience with this and what did you do to rectify the situation? and did they really get big??

I am a female with HPV. I have a few warts down there. I tried getting them burned but they didnt fall off and now I have a few more. I called my doctor and he said that there is no cream or any medication I can use. I was recently diagnosed with HPV. A shock being that I had no signs or symptoms at all. I have been reading alot about it and have been hearing lots of confusing things. I just descover that my 4 year old daughter has a genital wart. I know that it mentions that you can have them if you were pregnant with HPV ( i didnt not have an STD while being pregnant) and it also mentions that it could be possible sexual abuse. I am divorced and my daughter doesnt want to go with her dad when he picks her up could that mean that he might be hurting her? or is there some other possibiltity why she might have it other then sexual abuse? i am scared and furious at the same time. My ex was in Afghanistan last year. He found a wart on the base of his penis about three months after getting there and swore he got it from me. I got checked and I didn’t have anything. But I do have HPV, which seems to have gotten worse since him. First question…how long does it take to get an outbreak after you get the virus? Could his wart be from a previous relationship? Could I still get it? It has been like 2 months since him and I were together. We never wore condoms because before I realized he was an immature jerk, we were trying to get pregnant. I was told last night that he could have them on the inside of his penis and not realize it because the doctors won’t scope a man unless they have a reason to. If that is the case, what are my chances of catching it? I asked my gynocologist about the one I knew of because it was so far down on the base, I probably never touched it, but if he has them on the inside, does it make the chances of me getting it higher?

From what I know, genital warts are passed through skin to skin contact. And that’s basically all I know about it. If someone touch a person in the infected area with their hand, can they catch the virus? And when you have the virus, does the warts just decide to appear anywhere? It’s sort of confusing to me. It would seem to me that if a person touched an infected person, they’d get it on the skin/area they touched with.
I’ve also heard that people with the virus can pass it even without an outbreak. Is this true? How is this possible?
If someone can help me understand, I would greatly appreciate it.
P.S. Why can’t the HPV be tested for? Why hasn’t a test been devised for it?
From what I know, people don’t know if they have the virus unless they experience symptoms.

I have the strain of HPV that causes genital warts. They’re only up in my pubic hair region and there’s 3 spread around. 2 years ago when I had them, I had to use cream to make them go away.
Now that they’ve reappeared, after about 2 weeks they’re starting to scab up. My last ones never did that and I haven’t picked at them or itched them. Is this a good thing, meaning that they’re healing on their own?

My girlfriend was infected with HPV. We have been sexually active for about 4 months. She didn’t know she was infected unitl about 3 weeks after we were having sex. She got a cream and the bumps went away. She recently had genital warts re-appear and are actually worse. She says guys hardly ever develop warts. I am worried, is what she says true? I hear 2 different sides. I know certain strands of HPV can lead to cervical cancer. And I’m also hearing that the strands of HPV that develop warts are not related to the strands that can cause cervical cancer, but then again i’m hearing people say the Genital Warts are directly related as a high risk for CC. Help!

I was told I had genital warts by my doctor when I got a whole std test done. He burned them all off and told me I wouldn’t be able to pass them on to any other woman as long as I didn’t have any of the bumps as the virus in men only is in the wart itself. Is this true?
I asked two different doctors and its true once a man has them ALL burned off then you can’t pass it on if your a MAN. But you need to goto a doctor to make sure they are all gone because some could be flat. Also 3 out of every 4 people have hpv that are sexually active.

I know that there are many different strands of HPV, and the ones that cause the warts to appear are the low risk strands. I got the pap smear test done, but I have to wait a while for the results to come in, and im soooo anxious! Please let me know!!!

If you’ve been diagnosed with HPV how long was it before you got genital warts? Or if you had genital warts show up (and was then diagnosed) did you know the partner who gave it to you?
I’ve been tested for HPV and was negative but I’ve had some sketchy places on my skin come up. I have an appointment in a week but I was just wondering if there’s a usual time table in which sores show up.

About three years ago, I contacted Genital Warts. I was not told of her condition at the time. I have had all warts removed, and keep up with the ones that re-appear every now and then. Since there is really no test for a man to tell weather or not you have them cellular, I am unaware of that possibility. If I keep myself clear of a visible warts, am I still contagious? Also, I have met a wonderful woman, and she accepts my problem, and we use protection everytime. So far she has not contacted the virus. We would really like to have a baby, but to do this, we would have to have unprotected sex. What are the chances of her contacting the HPV, and also, what are the chances of the baby having HPV? Or are we never going to be able to have a child together? This virus is very confusing with so many different versions of how it can be transmitted. I just would rather be safe than sorry, and I would never want to put her or the babies life in jeopardy.

….what are the chances that the cells will be abnormal? (this is for low rish hpv)….is there a chance that the test could show up as being normal?….my doc initially thought i may have the warts but the test came back negative for abnormal cells and she said i was fine. did she make a mistake?

I was diagnosed with HPV about 7 months ago and I have had 4 of the "Acid treatments" to burn off the warts but it doesnt realy work I have to keep going back and its too painful…The doctor wants me to try "Aldara" the cream you use at home but has anyone else tried it? I dont want to waste my money if its not going to work…

i have genital warts (HPV). i know this as a fact. some new warty-looking growths have appeared on my pelvis, and perhaps the shaft of my penis.
my question is this: if i get the warts removed, will that lessen my risk of developing penile/penis cancer?
i know that HPV is one of the primary risk factors in penis cancer, but i do not not to what extent the warts, when left alone, magnify that risk.
also, what other things can i do to lesson my chances of penis cancer? i.e. decreasing abrasions to my penis, eating better, exercising.
I am asking this question on here because 1) seeing a doctor is expensive (my medical insurance doesn’t cover "non-essential" visits) and 2) i want a wide range of information. a doctor may give me one answer, but i’d like as much information as i can get.
