Before you dive into the blog I just want to say one thing:
no matter how much you love your bf and you dont want to
embarrass him, if he has genital warts -
HE MUST TREAT IT.
Or you'll both suffer. Dont just let it be cause you'll pay dearly later on.
If you dont feel comfortable to confront him just do what I did - I got him this really amazing cure after seeing it on ABC news, and I used it to treat him without him even knowing anything about it :)
In the end of the day it doesnt really matter if you take this cure or any other
just treat it and dont ignore it.
Live healthy and enjoy my blog,
Suzi
I have genital warts, i am 15 male, i have not yet had sex of any kind, i have masturbated, but can warts be a result of this??
Also i need advice on how to get rid of the virus
Thanks
Say a person contracted the HPV genital warts from a partner, could it be a year or two before that peroson shows symptoms? If you get warts once, and they go away, does that mean you have the virus for life? And the warts could appear at any time? thanks for all your help!!!
What i mean to say is it only possible to get them that way or can you get them without sleeping with someone who has the virus?
i’ve only ever had sex with one person without a condom, ( i’ve had two sexual partners) and my boyfriend doesn’t have any genital warts on him so how could i have got them from him?
but I want the virus removed from my body so that I dont spread it to any new partners.
at my recent prenatal apt i was diagnosed with hpv and it seems that I have already been carrying the virus for over a year already. It’s still the same partner and now Im pregnant. Since we both are carriers, is our baby going to be affected in any way.
It seems like such a common virus and its so easily spread, I can’t imagine how many people have it now.
My mom got genital warts from my dad when she got pregnant but she got the warts burnt off… i know she still has the virus in her… when she gave birth to me she had the genital warts virus in her but she had no warts on her… so does it pass from the mother to the baby in childbirth?
she cant have a C section… i’m already born! its too late.
got spot all over the old fella like big white pimples not even noticeable until i get an erection. i haven’t had any type of intercourse sexually with anyone yet. i do have a wart on my hand and face though :/
so if i touched someone or something that person may have touched i have genital warts right? and if i have them i know they cant be cured but if the warts arent there than can i not pass the virus on?
Just found out I have them and Im devastated.
The worst is knowing I might have given it to my partner. Weve been sexually active without protection for 6 months.
My question is, is it POSSIBLE, that he might not EVER ACTUALLY develop genital warts even if he has the virus??
Please Help….comfort me…
im 19 yrs old and just got diagnosed with genital warts 4 days ago and im worried that i wont be able to make a baby in the future with out infecting my partner with this virus is it possible to not transfer it and still have a happy family
I haven’t had any warts in 2 years but I know the virus still exist. Is there any chance that the baby won’t get it?
After the virus is taken care of by the immune system in 2 years
do the warts go away too?
Is it really necessary to get rid of them all the time?
my doctor said that you can get this virus from the air or from college campus. Is genital wart a type of STD or is it not related to STD? i have never have sex by the way, only masturbate.
I am deeply in love with my boyfriend. We haven’t done anything yet. I just figured it was because he was a gentle man. He told me he had an out break every now & then. He isn’t sure, even a little scared to get it looked at. I want to know when i make him go to the doctors how long the treatment will take & if he will ever be cured? I am scared to death of anything like that. Will i still get the virus? or can i?
I was recently diagnosed with HPV. I have low grade cells that I’m told should clear up on their own. I don’t have warts but I do have the virus that causes them, My boyfriend has developed warts. I know the body usually gets rid of the virus on its own eventually but my question is, if we continue to have unprotected sex will we be "passing" the infection back and forth and in turn making it take longer for his warts to disappear or my cells to become normal again?
Ok, so one of my good friends has genital warts. I do not want to exclude her from our hot tub parties but I’m scared. I know it is an STD and is usually spread through sex and/or skin to skin contact. But it is really hot and people shed a lot skin in a hottub (gross, but true) and it could land on my skin. And a hot tub seems to be the perfect place for a virus to live!! Thanks
okay this question has been asked many times.. but non have given a clear answer..
when they say skin-to-skin.. do they mean any skin-to-genital wart ? for example if i touch a genital wart by hand will the virus go through the skin of my finger and pass the virus through my system and eventually get genital warts ? what if i touch the wart on someone’s genital and then touch my own genitals.. will the virus pass through that way ?
what about orally ? what happens if the genital wart comes in contact with the mouth ? does the virus also go through the system orally ??
or do they mean when they say skin to skin "genital warts-to-genitals " does the genital wart have to touch the genital area directly in order to pass on the virus ?
can someone please elaborate in details !! im really confused on this skin-to-skin contact !
A guy I’ve been seeing for a few weeks now has just had a call from someone he was seeing a few months back to say she’s been diagnosed with genital warts, and he should get himself checked out too in case he has them. I’ve noticed a few small bumps along the back of his penis. We’ve slept together a few times, so chances are I may have caught the virus if he has it too. How likely is this? We’re both fairly serious about each other, should we just go and get checked out for everything?
if i have no visible warts in the inside and outside of my vagina thanks to electrocautery can i have unprotected sex with my boyfriend or am i exposing him to the virus??if i take any oral medication for genital warts that works with my immune system, can it lower the chances for a new genital warts breakout? Also i wanna know if my vaginal appearance would go back to normal?? please help!!!
I know I can’t get rid of the virus, I know the warts might go away on there own. Regardless, is there something I can buy to help get rid of the warts faster?
i just got diagnosed with genital warts yesterday and my warts are very small and there are only about 3 of them…i just wanted to know did you like the cream did it itch or burn and how long does it take to make small warts go away…i know i can’t get rid of the virus
I have been using Aldara cream for a small amount of genital warts (I’m female) for about 1 week now. I’ve done some research since I started using it, but I’m confused, I know it’s helping me get rid of the warts (I already see the results), but does it help you fight the virus? Someone knowledgeable please tell me what exactly it does! Also, If the cream gets inside my vagina (just a little bit) then is it really dangerous? Because, it’s kinda difficult to avoid that!
im undergoing treatment for the next 4 weeks and i heard there is a chance that the warts would disappear after treatment. but, is it safe to have sex after that? even with a condom? cos i heard skin to skin contact could infect a person with the virus.
Can genital warts infect the fingers of my hand if I was to finger a female who has HPV genital warts? Do the fluids in the vagina carry the genital warts virus even without an outbreak? Is it possible to spread the genital warts virus to my fingers when there is an outbreak or not an outbreak?
after removal of genital warts, are you still infected with the virus or infection and is it still contagious?
If a new partner tells me they had genital warts 20 years ago and no problems since, I don’t need to be concerned for my own health, do I? It’s not as if people carry a transmissible, unexpressed virus I might get….right?
I am 25 and have genital herpes. I live with others in my household and am worried that they may contract the disease by using the same toilet facility. Is there any other way to get it other than sexual contact? How long does the virus live on surfaces like a toilet seat or things other than genitalia? Should I be worried about my family and housemates getting it from me, even though we do not have sexual contact? If possible please state your source and if you are from a medical background. Please be serious, I really need help and answers. Thanks!
Even though a person may have a virus but not an outbreak of either genital warts or herpes, you can still catch it right?
This guy is trying to convince that you can’t.
Thanks.
My ex was in Afghanistan last year. He found a wart on the base of his penis about three months after getting there and swore he got it from me. I got checked and I didn’t have anything. But I do have HPV, which seems to have gotten worse since him. First question…how long does it take to get an outbreak after you get the virus? Could his wart be from a previous relationship? Could I still get it? It has been like 2 months since him and I were together. We never wore condoms because before I realized he was an immature jerk, we were trying to get pregnant. I was told last night that he could have them on the inside of his penis and not realize it because the doctors won’t scope a man unless they have a reason to. If that is the case, what are my chances of catching it? I asked my gynocologist about the one I knew of because it was so far down on the base, I probably never touched it, but if he has them on the inside, does it make the chances of me getting it higher?
i recently learned that after getting genital warts burned/frozen off, you are still infected with it. is there actually any way of getting rid of the virus aswell?
Why is it that genital warts and genital herpes can’t be cured? I know they are both viral infections but chicken pox are also caused by a virus and that can be cured.
Let’s say someone with genital warts touch themselves when using the bathroom and don’t wash their hands.
Then the same night they touch the genital area of someone else, but that’s it..(no oral sex, nor intercourse)…
can the virus go from the infected genital to their hands to the genitals of someone else?
Seriously, I learned that in my human sexuality course. Three in four people have the virus. Men don’t normally grow the warts, so they just keep passing it around. I also learned that the new widely believed theory is that the virus goes away after about 18 months – it doesn’t stay dormant in your body and ready to flare up again forever. However, some still say that it sticks around. Either way, ladies, this is why we need to all have regular paps. Genital Warts can lead to PID and cervical cancer. And if you’re not a virgin- most of us have had them, even if we don’t know it.
I was just diagnosed with genital warts.. My wife, and partner of 4 years, has never had them or even shown symptoms. The only other partner I had was over 5 years ago, and my symptoms did not appear until about 1 year ago. Is it possible that my wife carries the virus and transmitted it to me, even though she’s never had any visible symptoms of her own?
my husband and i both have genital warts. i haven’t had an outbreak, but he does. they doc. prescibed him a cream. i recently had an ectopic pregnancy (which was probably caused from the genital warts virus)
Anyways, I was wondering if the cream works for him, will he ever have an outbreak again?
Should we use protection everytime?
Will we have this virus for the rest of our lives?
Is it possible to spread genital warts to other parts of the body like you can with herpes, like to your mouth? Or is that the difference they stay in your genitals, Like if my man has genital warts on his penis, or atleat he has the virus if i give him oral will I get it in my mouth or on my lips.
From what I know, genital warts are passed through skin to skin contact. And that’s basically all I know about it. If someone touch a person in the infected area with their hand, can they catch the virus? And when you have the virus, does the warts just decide to appear anywhere? It’s sort of confusing to me. It would seem to me that if a person touched an infected person, they’d get it on the skin/area they touched with.
I’ve also heard that people with the virus can pass it even without an outbreak. Is this true? How is this possible?
If someone can help me understand, I would greatly appreciate it.
P.S. Why can’t the HPV be tested for? Why hasn’t a test been devised for it?
From what I know, people don’t know if they have the virus unless they experience symptoms.
I contracted genital warts many years ago. At the time I didn’t know much about them and every time one would emerge I would pop it like a pimple before it got too big. A cauliflower like hard thing would come out. I haven’t had any for many years and am wondering if they will ever re-emerge. I realise I carry the virus forever, just wondering if any warts will come out later, since I haven’t had any for 30+ years..
their a test in men and women that tells them when they received the virus after they start getting genital warts?
what are the odds of bing cure/treated for genital warts from HPV if your A teen and have a healthy immun system!if my body clear the virus how much time will it take to be treated for genital warts and not have it again!
I have two genital warts on the shaft of my penis. I’ve tried Aldara but it didn’t work. But I’ve been reading about how apple cider vinegar has worked out really well for some people. I’m aware that it’s a virus and you can’t cure it. But it’s been almost two years and I want them gone already. Has anyone used ACV? Did it work? How bad was the burning? How long did it take?
What virus that can cause genital warts is the most common in the United States?
A. Syphilis
B. HIV/AIDS
C. Human papillomavirus
D. Gonorrhea
I heard the doctor can start out by giving you an ointment to put on the warts? How effective is the cream?
Will I be given some antibiotics so my body can fight off this virus?
What are some other treatments? Can the gynocologist do surgery right in his office for genital warts or is it an extensive and invase procedure?
I have genital warts (HPV virus) around my anus area and want to know what can I use to get rid of them or make the itching stop. Do the same remedies for regular warts work for genital warts? What is safe in the anus area? Do you know of any websites or resources for genital warts? Thanks for all your help
so in the last few months i noticed two spots in my genital area. looks like genital warts to me, (fleshy growths.) anyways, i picked at them a little, made them bleed and they seemed to go away for a while. now they’re back and multiplying. is it safe to use over the counter wart removers to take care of them? i also heard that the mody can usually get over the virus in about 2 years.
My boyfriend 2 years ago received a cut on the side of his penis. Last month he noticed it turned into cauliflower like. He went to the doctor and the doctor said he has genital warts. I got tested…Negative. So he told me the doctor said he got genital warts because the cut got infected. I’m looking on the net, and I see nothing to where that can happen. So can it? Is he bullsh**ting me about what the doctor said?
He says he didn’t cheat and that it could have gotten infected with anal sex in which we did. But I thought it could only turn into Genital warts if someone else had the virus or it itself…
I was told I had genital warts by my doctor when I got a whole std test done. He burned them all off and told me I wouldn’t be able to pass them on to any other woman as long as I didn’t have any of the bumps as the virus in men only is in the wart itself. Is this true?
I asked two different doctors and its true once a man has them ALL burned off then you can’t pass it on if your a MAN. But you need to goto a doctor to make sure they are all gone because some could be flat. Also 3 out of every 4 people have hpv that are sexually active.
Both my partner and I have anal warts and are going to have them removed with surgery. Since we both have the virus, are we able to (after surgery recover time) go back to having sex without condoms? We are committed to each other so no need to worry about spreading HPV any further.
is the virus located only in genital area skin or also in body liquids and is non-bruised/scratched skin resistant to partner’s virus?
Also is it true that virus is actually smaller than the condom pores?
ok so i found out i had genital warts. i told my boyfriend. we’ve had sex ever since. i told him that we should wait cause i dont want to infect him but he said he didnt care. im really scared i think he probably has it now. i really dont want to infect my boyfriend with the virus. wat should i do?? should i wait til im done with the treatment to have sex? please help. and no stupid answers please
I found out I have hpv 2 months ago. I have no warts or anything like that just the abnormal cervical cells. If my boyfriend uses a condom can I still pass the virus to him?
The warts are on my pubic area above my penis. My doctor tells me the virus can only be transmitted through skin to skin contact with the warts, and it’s not carried in the semen, but I’m not sure he knows what he’s talking about. Can I still have sex without a condom if the girl avoids touching the wart area? I really don’t want to have to wear a condom to receive oral sex, but I don’t want to transmit the virus if I don’t have to either. How do I prevent this stupid disease from ruining my sex life?
is there any home remedies at home that can kill the virus in a short period of time?
plzz help out
Okay…I know the best answer to this question is: simply abstain from sex.
So I don’t need you to tell me that.
What I’m looking for is if there’s any way that I can minimize the chances of spreading the virus to my partner and still have sex.
I currently have HPV (the most common of all STDs) and it is manifesting itself as anal warts. The warts are entirely concentrated around my anus and are nowhere else (i.e. on my penis or scrotum or anywhere around it).
I understand that HPV can be spread through skin-to-skin contact. But what I don’t understand is: does that mean contact with any part of the skin in my genital region, including the parts that don’t have any warts (i.e. the penis), or does it only mean contact with the skin that has the warts on it (i.e. the anus)?
I’m sorry to ask such as gross question, but it’s kind of serious. I really dont want to spread this virus but I would also really like to be able to have sex with my partner.
I think if we were careful having sex, it would be pretty easy to have her not come into contact with my anus area, and just with my penis (wearing a condom of course).
If I could find some way to even cover up my anus, would that be a good way to prevent the spread of the virus? Any suggestions for this?
Thanks
I think I still need to clarify more.
I have NO intention of my girlfriend doing ANYTHING near my anal area. Thats not my thing.
All I want to know is: Can contact with my penis transmit this virus or not?
if you give a man that has genital warts oral sex can you catch them? If you see the warts on his privates can you catch them on your mouth or your privates. My friend gave her hubby oral sex with her know that the warts were on him. she said that they have had sex for over a year now oral and all and she has not caught anything, will she catch them or do yuou think she has them and they are just not showing up? Or does she possibly not have the virus in her body. she is confused and wanted me to ask this on here.
We use condoms to prevent me from getting genital warts. But can you bathe together and not contract the virus? We are going on a vacation and we are going to have a Jacuzzi and want to shower or bathe together. I don’t want to contract the genital warts.
About three years ago, I contacted Genital Warts. I was not told of her condition at the time. I have had all warts removed, and keep up with the ones that re-appear every now and then. Since there is really no test for a man to tell weather or not you have them cellular, I am unaware of that possibility. If I keep myself clear of a visible warts, am I still contagious? Also, I have met a wonderful woman, and she accepts my problem, and we use protection everytime. So far she has not contacted the virus. We would really like to have a baby, but to do this, we would have to have unprotected sex. What are the chances of her contacting the HPV, and also, what are the chances of the baby having HPV? Or are we never going to be able to have a child together? This virus is very confusing with so many different versions of how it can be transmitted. I just would rather be safe than sorry, and I would never want to put her or the babies life in jeopardy.
I recently found out I have HPV, from an abnormal pap. Due to sexual history my b/f and I have assumed I contracted it from him. I am waiting to get back in touch w/ my doctor but just wanted to throw out a couple questions in the meantime to set my mind at ease if even by just a little. I have visible warts, since it’s most likely that my b/f gave me the virus can we have sex since he most likely already has the virus, or will me having warts make him more likely to have an oubreak of warts. Also will masturbating make my warts spread?
I have hundreds of tiny bumps on my penis. Some very tiny, some about a millimeter. I have been to 4 dr’s over the years and they all say oil glans. But they are refering to the bigger ones. I understand that they are. But the tiny tiny ones they are not noticing. I read that warts can be so small you cant see them. And liquid does come out of these tiny ones. I pop them, clear liq. comes out, then red next day. Are these also just oily pores? I believe warts because when 17y/o I recall spanking it with open wart on finger. I told docs I get bumps on hands a week after I masturbate with lube, they tell me its allergic reac. But istill get them when I use my natural lube. And they were spread to others by playing video with same controllers. Also I can orally pleasure myself and now have white bumps on lips. Some mm some tiniy that are in clusters of 3 or 4. How can they not be warts? I was just at dr week ago and he said not warts. But i didnt tell about ones on lips or reason.
They are white in color. Some extremely tiny and some easily visible without getting close. When erect, they all are clearly visible. Years ago I had masturbated with an open wart on my finger. 4 dr’s say they are not warts but I think they are looking for the typical male genital warts that are bilg and califlower-like. There are over 100 strains. How can they know for sure I dont have some type. The small ones like these are said to be cancerous for women if spread to them. But there is no test for men for warts, only through visible inspection. There is test but you need electron microscope to see virus. Have to be swabbed then sent to lab for DNA typeing. No doctor would ever order that test, so I have to rely on some doc who cheated way through med school.
Is it possible to get genetal warts from a sex toy that someone els used a week before i used it? It was my toy and someone els used it and i just found out they used it. Im freeken out because i dont know if they have had genetal warts before. How long can the virus live outside the body?
If both people in the relationship already have the virus, is it necessary to wear a condom? Will not wearing a condom make the warts more likely to reappear?
I was recently diagnost with Anal warts. I don’t see any symptoms of the virus but I know its there. What preventative measures, besides not having sex, can I take so he doesn’t get infected?
