This is a virus and does not survive long outside of the human body… it CAN be transmitted in other ways besides intercourse, but it IS RARE.
Say for instance your friend is infected with HPV (warts) and you girls are trying on bathing suits. She has had one on and then you want to try it on…. immediately after she had it on… YES you could get it!
Not transmitted on toilet seats (unless you for some unknown reason were touching your genitals to the seat right after someone else…
It is spread pretty much through skin to skin contact..
