Before you dive into the blog I just want to say one thing:
no matter how much you love your bf and you dont want to
embarrass him, if he has genital warts -
HE MUST TREAT IT.
Or you'll both suffer. Dont just let it be cause you'll pay dearly later on.

If you dont feel comfortable to confront him just do what I did - I got him this really amazing cure after seeing it on ABC news, and I used it to treat him without him even knowing anything about it :)

In the end of the day it doesnt really matter if you take this cure or any other
just treat it and dont ignore it.

Live healthy and enjoy my blog,
Suzi

I was diagnosed with HPV about 7 months ago and I have had 4 of the "Acid treatments" to burn off the warts but it doesnt realy work I have to keep going back and its too painful…The doctor wants me to try "Aldara" the cream you use at home but has anyone else tried it? I dont want to waste my money if its not going to work…

If you have genital warts what treatments worked for you??

I used Aldara when I had genital warts about a year ago.

It took a little over month for the warts to completely go away, but it does work (at least it did for me anyway).

You are only suppose to apply it 3 times a week though because it can actually cause 2nd and 3rd degree burns! Towards the end of the month it started to itch and burn me so I only used it about twice a week for the last two weeks. It definitely works, but you have to be patient and I can bet you it is a lot less painful and less expensive then the acid treatments!

    Good luck to you!

My doctor did a procedure that froze my cervix. I can’t remember exactly what it was called. If you have warts, they will need to do the acid treatments, but the freezing process is supposed to get rid of the HPV cells to prevent the warts. The freezing process is a bit uncomfortable, but it’s definately worth it. I wouldn’t say it’s painful in anyway. You’ll get some hot flashes while they let it thaw.

Here is the website for this issue as covered by the CDC [Center for Disease Control].

Please read it as you can see there is currently no treatment regimen that results in permanent eradication

P.S. Freezing of the cervix etc. is called cryo surgery…it can be done in the doctor’s office and hydrogen is used to ‘freeze’ tissue – similar to carterizing but using cold rather than heat

I work in a clinic called Women’s Health Services. We only deal with STDs and other female issues. Because of this we see a lot of patients with HPV. The cryo will not help with the external warts, but is a great treatment for the cervix. HPV used to be thought of as a lifelong STD, however it is now proven that 80% of people fight it off with their immune system. The best advice I have for you is to boost your immune system with diet, exercise, and vitamins. Wear condoms, but remember that warts can be spread just by the skin shedding onto your skin. Acid treatments should not hurt and are usually effective, however if the warts are irritated or too large there is the Aldara cream. It is really a cream that boosts your immune system to fight in that specific area. It is great. MOST IMPORTANT: Get your annual exams every year because HPV can turn into cancer.

I think you can have them frozen too. I’m not sure what that procedure is called – but people have them done for warts on other parts of their bodies – I don’t see why they wouldn’t do it for genital warts too. Good luck to you.
