Before you dive into the blog I just want to say one thing:
no matter how much you love your bf and you dont want to
embarrass him, if he has genital warts -
HE MUST TREAT IT.
Or you'll both suffer. Dont just let it be cause you'll pay dearly later on.
If you dont feel comfortable to confront him just do what I did - I got him this really amazing cure after seeing it on ABC news, and I used it to treat him without him even knowing anything about it :)
In the end of the day it doesnt really matter if you take this cure or any other
just treat it and dont ignore it.
Live healthy and enjoy my blog,
Suzi
I foolishly had unprotected sex with a new partner. I discovered after intercourse he had genital warts all over his penis and pubic area. I am upset at myself and especially by him. WHy would someone do this?
Fear is the first and foremost reason. He was afraid of rejection. Telling a new partner about a chronic STD is the hardest part of having a chronic STD. There’s a high probability of being rejected at a particularly vulnerable moment (like when you’re nervous and stark naked in front of a new acquaintance).
Now, I’m not saying what he did was right. I’m just explaining human behavior. What he did was cowardly, and was a major breach of trust.
I’m sorry you had to find out about his STD after the fact. If you are under the age of 26, have you been vaccinated with Gardasil yet? If not you should talk to your doctor about getting the shots. It won’t cure HPV (the virus that causes cervical cancer and genital warts) you already have, but it’ll protect you from some strains you might encounter in the future.
some guys will tell u anything to get into your pants. also the first post is right about fear of rejection and all that, specially if a chronic and contagious std is involved.
Well,if there were obvious symptoms, that’s one thing, and yes, it was foolish to go at it without protection.
That being said, most men who have HPV, don’t know they have HPV, (maybe even this guy). There is NO test men can take to find out if they have it, the only way they can find out they have it is if they actually get the warts. Some men may never show a symptom their whole life.
Stop worrying about why and start worrying about what:
You need to go to your doctor and have a paps smear done, on regular basis, if you do this, you can reduce your chances of cervical cancer dramatically.
Stop asking why would someone do this, it takes two to tango, it’s important to learn from this, and get yourself taken care of.
